Contactless Technology

Contactless Smart Cards

From MIFARE Classic to DESFire EV3, from 125 KHz to 960 MHz -- we manufacture the full spectrum of contactless smart card technologies for every application.

Contactless Technology Overview

Contactless smart cards use radio frequency (RF) technology to communicate with a reader without physical contact. The card's embedded antenna and microchip enable secure, rapid data exchange with a simple tap or wave gesture.

Cardzgroup manufactures contactless cards across all major frequencies -- Low Frequency (125 KHz), High Frequency (13.56 MHz), and Ultra High Frequency (860-960 MHz) -- using chips from NXP, Infineon, Texas Instruments, EM Microelectronic, and other leading semiconductor manufacturers.

Product Range

Six categories covering every contactless frequency and security level.

MIFARE / DESFire Cards

13.56 MHz (HF)

The world's most widely deployed contactless smart card technology, developed by NXP Semiconductors. Used across transportation networks, access control systems, and loyalty programs globally.

Chips: MIFARE Classic, MIFARE Plus, DESFire EV1/EV2/EV3, Ultralight

NFC Cards

13.56 MHz (HF)

Near Field Communication cards compliant with NFC Forum standards. Compatible with smartphones for tap-to-read applications, digital business cards, and smart marketing.

Chips: NTAG213, NTAG215, NTAG216, NTAG424 DNA

Low Frequency (LF) Cards

125 KHz / 134.2 KHz

Proven technology for proximity access control and animal tracking. Long read range and robust performance in challenging environments.

Chips: EM4100, EM4200, T5577, HID Prox, Hitag 1/2/S

High Frequency (HF) Cards

13.56 MHz

ISO 14443 and ISO 15693 compliant cards for a broad range of smart card applications including payments, transit, and identification.

Chips: ICODE SLI/SLIX, TI Tag-it, Infineon SLE series

Ultra High Frequency (UHF) Cards

860-960 MHz

Long-range identification cards with read distances up to 10 metres. Ideal for vehicle access, warehouse management, and large-scale asset tracking.

Chips: Impinj Monza, Alien Higgs, NXP UCODE

Dual Frequency Cards

LF + HF / HF + UHF

Cards combining two frequency technologies in a single card body, enabling multi-application deployments and backward compatibility with legacy systems.

Chips: EM4100 + MIFARE, EM4200 + DESFire, MIFARE + UHF

MIFARE / DESFire Product Family

As the world's most deployed contactless technology, the MIFARE family from NXP covers everything from basic ticketing to highly secure multi-application deployments.

MIFARE Classic 1K/4K

Industry standard for access control and transportation with 1KB or 4KB memory and crypto-1 security.

MIFARE Plus

AES-128 encrypted upgrade path from MIFARE Classic with enhanced security levels (SL1, SL2, SL3).

MIFARE DESFire EV1/EV2/EV3

Advanced security with 3DES/AES encryption, flexible file system, and up to 8KB memory. EV3 supports secure messaging.

MIFARE Ultralight / Ultralight C

Cost-effective solution for single-use tickets and limited-use applications with 64-192 bytes memory.
